HOWARTH STEPS IN FOR ACES CLASH

LEICESTER will track Wolverhampton charger Kyle Howarth as a guest instead of Richie Worrall for tonight’s visit of Belle Vue (8pm).

Howarth comes in at number four in place of Danny King for the Watling JCB Lions with the rider replacement facility switching to the number five position.

Worrall had been due to ride at five in place of the injured Pawel Przedpelski but the booking was not sanctioned because the extra five per cent allowance on top of an injured rider’s average for home meetings only applies for rider replacement, not guest bookings.

Team boss Jim Lynch said: “It is unfortunate for Richie. He was keen to get out there for us but we have a very good option in Kyle who strengthens our side just as much.”

Supporters are reminded they can arrive early to take part in a meet and greet with Lion Lasse Bjerre between 6.30-7pm near the entrance gates.

LEICESTER: Kim Nilsson, Erik Riss, Lasse Bjerre, Kyle Howarth, R/R for Pawel Przedpelski, Josh Bates, Todd Kurtz.

BELLE VUE: Kenneth Bjerre, R/R for Craig Cook, Steve Worrall, Paul Starke, Scott Nicholls, Dan Bewley, Jack Smith.
